The Mpeleni Tower is a unique combination of medieval fortification and neoclassical architecture in Alinta of Leros. It is a two-storey stone building with three-storey towers, a large garden and some smaller buildings of the same style. This tower houses the Historical and Folklore museum of Leros, where items are exhibited like maps, photographs and other documents from the Second World War, folklore findings and historical photographs from the last period of the Ottoman period.
